In the app, pick a document or take a photo of the paperwork. Veta pulls out lab values (with units and reference ranges), diagnoses and medications. Lab and discharge documents get a plain-language summary. The summary explains the document; it isn't a diagnosis.
How does recording a vet visit work?
Tap record when the visit starts. The microphone is on only while you're recording, and the visit is transcribed on your phone by an on-device model. Recordings are deleted after 30 days unless you pin them.
What can I ask Veta?
Ask answers questions using your pet's own records, and it cites the records it used. It doesn't replace your vet.
What do the worry levels mean?
When you log a worry, Veta sorts it into one of four levels: monitor, this week, today or emergency. If your pet seems to be in distress, call your vet or the nearest emergency clinic first.
Which insurers does Veta fill claim forms for?
Veta fills in the claim PDF for five insurers: Trupanion, Pets Best, Nationwide, ASPCA and Spot.
Can I share my pet's records with a sitter or vet?
Yes. Invite them into your Care Circle from Settings. They install Veta and sign in to accept, then see your pets' records. Access is view-only unless you allow edits, and you can remove anyone at any time. For emergencies, the emergency card is a one-page PDF you can send as a link that expires after an hour.
Can I track more than one pet?
Yes. You can add several pets to one account, and each pet gets its own passport.
What's the daily check-in?
A quick note of your pet's energy, appetite and mood. It's one check-in per pet per day.
Can I track my pet's weight?
Yes. Log weights in the app and Veta charts them over three-month and one-year ranges.
How do I sign in?
On iPhone, sign in with Apple or Google. On Android, sign in with Google.
Is there a web version of Veta?
No. Veta is an app for iOS and Android.
Does Veta show ads or sell my data?
No. Veta doesn't show ads and doesn't sell your data. Records are encrypted at rest.
What happens when I delete my account?
Your account is purged 30 days after you delete it.
Is Veta a replacement for my vet?
No. Veta keeps your pet's records in one place and explains them in plain language. It doesn't diagnose. For anything urgent, call your vet or the nearest emergency clinic.
